Social Service Career programs prepare students for employment immediately after graduation by providing the knowledge and skills for their first job. Or, while working, many graduates continue their studies at local four-year colleges and universities. These options can be explained by your academic advisor and the faculty teaching the courses in your program core.
Specific programs have been designed by CCAC faculty, based on their years of experience and current knowledge of the Allegheny County job market.
The programs are continuously evaluated to ensure that they meet the social service needs of the future. In many cases, the programs are monitored by advisory committees made up of representatives from social service agencies.
Graduates of these programs are contacted after graduation to determine if the skills they have learned at the College are appropriate at work.
