Workforce Fast Tracks Program
The future is bright in six months or less
The CCAC Workforce Fast Tracks short term training program is a series of certificate, diploma and training courses designed to train or retrain individuals to enter the workforce in six months or less. Program offerings are specifically designed to offer four key benefits:
- a condensed course timeline that enables entry into the workforce as quickly as possible;
- affiliation with a cohort learning group to take some or all courses together;
- manageable costs with financial aid or payment plans available to many participants; and
- programs offered at a variety of CCAC campuses and centers.
Students must commit to completing the program within the advertised time frames for maximum benefit. Offerings include onsite, web-enhanced and online teaching formats, with programs launching spring 2010 and different programs being offered beginning in summer and fall terms.

Welding Certificate (Special Midnight Welding)
This certificate program provides students with the entry-level skills to work as a welder in small and large companies. Students in this certificate program are eligible to take the American Welding Society (AWS) D1.1 and D1.5 Certification Test.

The professional certificate in basic computer-aided drafting is a Fast Track program designed for the student seeking a career in computer-aided drafting.
Basic Computer-aided Drafting (CAD)
EMT Emergency Medical Technician
This 152-hour course will include all lessons of the National Standard Curriculum for EMTs including human systems, medical emergencies, CPR, trauma and environmental emergencies.
Nurse Aide Training
This 24-day program will instruct nurse aide students in their role in long-term patient care. Learning is conducted under the direct supervision of a registered nurse and offers a comprehensive approach to skill areas within the parameters of individualized interdisciplinary care.
Medical Office Manager
This 75-hour course will cover basic computer skills, basic medical terminology, insurance coding medical records, regulations , properly securing information and customer service.
Home Health Attendant
This 40-hour course will cover classroom theory, skills training and a supervised practicum to prepare students to provide safe, competent health care to clients in the home.
Green Programs
Wastewater Operator Certificate Program
This 28-hour program (plus free exam prep) will qualify the learner for a CCAC certificate of completion and 2.8 continuing education units (CEUs) for the operation of wastewater treatment plant components and equipment and may aid students as they sit for the DEP Part 1 General Exam for Wastewater Operators.
Drinking Water Operator Certificate Program
This 26-hour program (plus free exam prep) will qualify the learner for a CCAC certificate of completion and 2.6 continuing education units (CEUs) for the operation of drinking water treatment plant components and equipment and may aid students as they sit for the DEP Part 1 General Exam for Drinking Water Operators.
Drinking Water Operator Exam Review
This 4-hour exam prep course is for learners interested in taking the DEP Part 1 General Exam for Drinking Water.

Advanced Manufacturing/Integrated Systems Technology (AM/IST) "Mechatronics"
This 300-hour certificate program will cover electrical control circuits, electric motor control, industrial wiring, industrial power distribution, advanced programmable logic controllers.

This 100-hour certificate program will cover electrical topics beginning with basic electrical circuits, progressing to electrical motor operation and control.
Electrical Motor Repair
This 20-hour course will cover troubleshooting and performing electrical and mechanical repairs in different types of electric motors: 3-phase, single phase and DC.

This 140-hour certificate program will cover hydraulics, pneumatics, fluid systems and mechanical systems, including various study construction, selection, control and installation techniques.
Programmable Electrical Controls (PLCS)
This 60-hour certificate program develops knowledge and skills in programmable logic controllers, including programming, interfacing applications and troubleshooting tools.
Business Programs
Property and Casualty Insurance Career Preparation
This 10-week course will review the insurance industry, including regulation, property and casualty insurance basic and coverage options upon successful completion of this course.
