Nancilee Burzachechi, JD, CFRE, is the vice president of Institutional Advancement, External & Federal Government Relations and serves as Open Records Officer at CCAC. Burzachechi joined the college in 2001 as executive assistant to the president, director of Corporate and Government Relations, before assuming the role of executive director of External Relations in January 2004. Later that year she was promoted to her current position, in which she directs the efforts of Contracts & Grants, Government Relations, Marketing and Communications, Web & Social Media and the Public Relations departments.
Burzachechi currently raises funds for CCAC’s annual institutional operating budget, manages development of private and public resources and leads institutional advancement strategy. She is a member of the President’s Cabinet and fosters relationships with four-year institutions, college trustees and alumni, as well as governmental, legislative, corporate and community leaders.
A graduate of the University of Pittsburgh Katz Graduate School of Business and the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, Burzachechi joined her alma mater in 1993 as associate director of Development and Alumni Affairs and director of Continuing Education before being promoted to assistant dean and director of Development and Alumni Affairs. She has also served as director of Corporate Relations at Carnegie Mellon University’s Tepper Graduate School of Business.
Burzachechi is a certified fund raising executive (CFRE) and member of the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE), the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP), the Council for Resource Development (CRD), the Pennsylvania Bar and Pennsylvania Bar Association and the Advisory Committee on Part-time Faculty, Pennsylvania Joint State Commission. In addition, she was appointed to two terms as a member of the State Relations Task Force.
