This program prepares the student for transfer to a four-year institution with a broad college background and skill and knowledge in physics.
Graduates may earn a bachelor's degree and prepare for graduate training in many scientific fields.
Upon successful completion of the program, the graduate will:
- Demonstrate qualitative understandings of physical processes in nature by recognizing the concepts involved.
- Demonstrate quantitative understandings of physical processes in nature by analyzing with the use of proper quantitative methods.
- Discuss objectively new scientific ideas and concepts.
- Recognize basic connections of all of the scientific disciplines.
- Demonstrate scientific literacy by defining terminology correctly and employing it appropriately and by retrieving and evaluating appropriate resource materials.
