Certificate (446)
This certificate program provides certified Radiologic Technologists R.T.R. (R), or Radiation Therapist R.T.R. (T) or Nuclear Medicine Technologists R.T.R. (N), with training in the field of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI Scanning). Scanning technologists work in a hospital, clinic, health center, and private imaging radiology departments. Students learn to produce computerized magnetic images of body parts as an aid in the diagnosis of disease and injury.
Enrollment is limited by the availability of clinical sites and program requirements. Students must make separate application to the program. Applicants should have a successful record of achievement in an approved accredited radiologic technology program or radiation therapy technology program, be registered in radiography or radiation therapy, with the certification examination having been passed at least one year prior to sitting for the advanced level examination in magnetic resonance.
Graduates of this program are eligible to take the advanced certification examination provided by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (MR) after completing all the certificate requirements.
