Associate of Science (033.1)

This is a program that prepares the student for transfer to a four-year institution with a broad college background and skill and knowledge in pre-health professions.

Upon successful completion of the program, the graduate will:

1. Describe the fundamental principles in the sciences.
2. Apply the principles of the scientific method.
3. Communicate effectively using scientific and clinical terminology.
4. Relate basic biological concepts to disease processes.
5. Transfer to a four-year institution or to a health profession program of their choice.

Graduates may earn a bachelor’s degree and prepare for study in the health professions including chiropractor, dentist, medical doctor, physician assistant, pharmacists, or veterinarian.  Students will be able to participate in a field experience in a given health profession.
