No matter what your responsibilities are at CCAC, ITS plays the leadership role in establishing standards for the desktop tools you need to do your job effectively. In order to ensure that you have these necessary tools, you should understand what we support:
Hardware: ITS maintains a minimum base configuration for the Standard Desktop PC and Notebook PC and Network Servers. See the ITS Web Site for current minimums for processors, memory, CD-ROM, hard drive size, video cards, monitor and network card.
Software: All College PC’s are installed with a basic image (a standard installation of operating software and configured software), which includes the latest versions of Windows Operating System, MS Office, Internet Explorer, Microsoft Forefront Anti-Virus Software, Acrobat Reader, WinZip and Real Player. ITS technicians will install additional software on a PC, if it is compatible with College standards and the appropriate license is maintained for the software.
Plan Ahead: Writing a Grant. Renovating facilities. Need information on networking. Please collaborate with ITS Staff before you submit proposals or purchase equipment or make plans for renovations. See Planning for Technology.
