Seminole Community College is a comprehensive two-year institution offering Associate of Arts and Associate of Science degrees as well as numerous vocational certificates. The college is one of eight among the 28 community colleges in Florida that serves as the vocational/technical center and offers adult basic education for the county.

The college is located in one of the fastest growing counties in the state. Situated near Orlando, Fla., the county has grown by about 60 percent since 1980 to a population of 287,000. Population is expected to grow by 35 percent in the next 10 years.
