The Fitness Center at South Campus is a state-of-the-art facility that combines the latest technology and research in the fitness industry in order to help students, faculty and staff improve their fitness level for general wellbeing or sport performance.

The Fitness Center will be closed on March 3-5 for Midterm Break
and from April 17-20 for Easter Break
A current CCAC student photo ID card is required in order to use the fitness center. Please be prepared to show a current student ID with the current semester sticker when asked by staff to do so. Failure to show a current student ID means that the person will be required to leave the Fitness Center.
Fitness Center Usage
The Fitness Center is available to all CCAC credit students, faculty and staff. You must be registered for credit classes during the current academic term and present a valid copy of your student identification card in order to use the fitness center. Lockers are available for the entire academic term for $12.00. Students may pay for lockers at the Student Accounts office. Please bring your receipt and a copy of your student identification card to a Fitness Center Staff member when requesting a locker.
Fitness Center Basics
The South Campus Fitness Center is over 2,000 square feet and has Cybex and Strive strength training machines, an indoor track, treadmills, bikes, ellipticals, stair climbers, stationary bikes, safety free-weight training rack, Olympic weights/benches and two fully loaded dumbbell racks. Lockers and showers are available (you must bring your own towel/toiletries).
February is National Heart Month. As part of this important month, the Fitness Center will be offering information on how to reduce your risk of heart disease. The following weekly events are part of this initiative.
Week of February 3 - Free blood pressure readings and information on how to control your blood pressure. Please note; information/reading does not replace a visit to your physician to have your blood pressure evaluated. On FRIDAY FEBRUARY 7, 2014, PLEASE WEAR RED to work to support education/research regarding heart disease.
Week of February 10 - Stress management 101. Receive some free information and strategies on how to manage your stress level in a positive and healthy way.
Week of February 17 - Physical Activity and Heart Disease prevention. Learn the differences between different types of cardiovascular exercise. Try some innovative programs on our cardio machines for a new and challenging workout.
Week of February 24 - Diet and Heart Disease. Visit our training table to see what types of foods are ideal for a healthy heart.
