Boyce Campus Golf Team
Intercollegiate golf at CCAC Boyce is a fall and spring sport available for men and women. Home matches and practices are conducted at The Links at Spring Church and range practice is held at McDain's Driving Range in Monroeville.
Fall season practice is allowed to begin on August 10. Our first match is normally the last week of August. Matches are usually held twice a week including local weekend tournaments. The Western Pennsylvania Collegiate Conference tournament is a two-day event held during the first weekend of October. The three day State Championship Tournament is the following weekend held on the Iron Forge Course and Founders Course at Penn National Golf Course in Fayetteville, PA.
Spring season practice begins in early March with matches beginning late March. In mid-May we participate in the NJCAA Region XX Division III Tournament. For those who qualify at the Region Tournament, the highlight of the year is participation in the NJCAA National Tournament in early June in Chautauqua, New York.
A normal match consists of 18 holes from the championship tees during which the golfer walks the course while carrying their clubs. Players to be competitive should be able to score in the mid-eighties or better while playing the ball down from the back tees.
