Responsibilities of the Task Force Chairs and co-chairs:

  • Orient Task Force members to the charges
  • Lead task force members through the work processes
  • Assign topics for study to each task force member
  • Scrupulously attend to the Steering Committee’s timetable
  • Orient Task Force members to the Steering Committee editorial formats for submission of task force reports and other information
  • Ensure that each charge is investigated thoroughly, then critically analyzed in the spirit of “Characteristics of Excellence,” and supported with qualitative and/or quantitative data
  • Write the Task Force final report within the editorial framework established by the Steering Committee

Responsibilities of the Task Force Members:

  • Examine all aspects of the institution charged to them under the Characteristic and fundamental elements they are studying
  • Identify areas that the college does and manages well, and those where we need to improve
  • Document findings in a “culture of evidence,” then submit the findings and recommendations of the Task Force to the Steering Committee
