GED Registration & Test Schedules

If you are taking the GED test for the first time and have not yet pre-registered at GED123.org, you must pre-register prior to arriving for in-person registration.

Please read the following carefully. 

If you are taking the GED test for the first time:

  • First-time test takers must now pre-register online at GED123.org prior to in-person registration and scheduling at the test center.
  • For detailed pre-registration instructions, click here.
  • In-Person registration, scheduling and payment for the test must be done at the center where you plan to test.

 If you are re-taking all or any part of the GED test or have already registered with GED123.org:

  • DO NOT pre-register online. You already have an account established at GED123.org. 
  • Follow the in-person registration procedures below.

At in-person registration, you will be required to present or complete the following prior to scheduling your test date:

  • Current (non-expired) government-issued photo ID, including signature:
    • Photo-bearing driver’s license; or
    • Photo-bearing state identification; or
    • Valid passport; or
    • Photo-bearing military ID
  • Proof of PA residency if above does not reflect current PA address (e.g. utility bill, phone bill, lease agreement, voter registration card, etc.).
  • Payment in the form of a money order only (Non-Refundable—applicable only to date(s) scheduled at registration)
    • Full Battery (all 5 subjects tests):    $60.00
    • Retest 1 subject:                            $20.00
    • Retest 2 subjects:                          $40.00
    • Retest 3, 4 or 5 subjects:                $60.00
  • Printed Proof of Registration from GED123.org (first-time test-takers) or GED Score Report (re-testers – available at GED123.org or at test center) or manually completed Demographic Form (available at test center only).
  • Completed and signed Verification of Eligibility form
  • Signed GED Testing Candidate Code of Conduct
  • Where applicable, miscellaneous required supporting documentation (Under 18-years-of-age waiver, out-of-state transcripts, etc.)

In-Person GED Test Registration is conducted on Tuesdays only, 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., except holidays and college closings. You must arrive no later than 2:15 p.m. to allow for completion of necessary paperwork.
IMPORTANT NOTE: No in-person registration at Allegheny Campus on Tuesday, May 21, 2013.

In-Person GED Test Registration is conducted on Mondays only, 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., except holidays and college closings. You must arrive no later than 4:15 p.m. to allow for completion of necessary paperwork.

GED Scholarship at CCAC

Allegheny County Residents who acquire their GED Commonwealth Secondary School Diploma are eligible for one tuition-free 3-credit course at CCAC within six months of obtaining the diploma. For further details and eligibility requirements, please visit: GED Scholarship Program.
