The Ethnic and Diversity Studies program awards an associate of science degree. This program embraces differences based on age, race, gender, religion, sexual orientation, national origin or physical or mental ability. Ethnic and Diversity Studies is a multi-disciplinary program that draws from a variety of disciplines including: history, psychology, anthropology, sociology, religious studies and others. The program is designed for transfer to four-year academic institutions. Students will pursue a course of studies grounded in the humanities and social sciences. They will be prepared to enter into four-year institutions and be able to earn degrees in a variety of disciplines including: history, anthropology, sociology, education, political science, social work, human resources, pre-law, pre-medicine, ethnic and diversity studies or Africana studies.
