The CCAC Psychology Advisory board, comprised of CCAC full-time psychology faculty and faculty volunteers from area college and university psychology departments plus mental health organizations commenced February 24, 2000. It meets in the fall and spring of each year.
The Board reviews and offers ideas for revising the CCAC Psychology Program and student activities such as CCAC’s chapter of Psi Beta National Honor Society in Psychology. The Psychology Advisory Board considers what knowledge and skills a psychology transfer student should have when entering a four-year college or university psychology program.
Board members assist with developing Transfer/Articulation Agreements with their colleges and universities. The Psychology Advisory Board also assists in promoting the CCAC Psychology Program and is the External Reviewer for CCAC’s annual and five year Psychology Program Reviews. In addition, the Psychology Advisory Board provides invaluable assistance in developing CCAC Psychology Program assessment methods.
