Classes begin April 22, 2013

In order to be considered for the grant funded Roustabout Training Program, candidates must follow the instructions below. Class size is limited to 15 students and admission is granted on a first-come, first-served basis.

1. Register for the Sage Testing scheduled for April 12, 2013 at CCAC–West Hills Center.

• Candidates can register at www.catalystconnection.org for a non-refundable fee of $144. Click on the events and training tab on the left side of the main page then scroll down to Roustabout II click and complete registration. The fee is the only cost associated with testing and will cover the background check, drug screening and various Sage Tests required for entrance into this fully funded training program.
• Catalyst Connection registrations must be completed by April 8, 2013 for the April 12, 2013 testing date.
• The grant funded Roustabout Training Program begins on April 22, 2013.

2. Register on www.shalenet.org and complete the required pre-screen modules.

• This will give candidates an understanding of basic requirements for a Roustabout job and what to expect on the job.

3. Register with Pennsylvania CareerLink at www.cwds.state.pa.us.

• Once confirmation of the Catalyst Connection registration is received, CCAC will mail candidates a drug screening form* and a Pennsylvania State Police background check form*. Candidates should return the completed background check form ASAP in the return envelope supplied.
• Candidates can contact Quest Diagnostics for drug testing locations at 800.877.7484 or www.questdiagnostics.com. Quest Diagnostics strongly suggests but does not require an appointment.
• *Acceptance in the Roustabout Training Program is based on the results of the drug screening and the PA State Police background check.

4. The three week Roustabout Training Program begins April 22, 2013. Most of the training is done at CCAC–West Hills Center except for heavy equipment training, which is held at Butler County Community College (107 College Drive, Butler, PA 16002; phone: 724.287.8711 or 888.826.2829; web: www.bc3.edu).

5. A well site visit with Chesapeake Energy is planned for April 24, 2013. Participants will meet at CCAC–West Hills Center and transportation to the site will be provided by Chesapeake Energy.
