CCAC was honored along with six other Pennsylvania community colleges by being selected to join in the Achieving the Dream initiative. Achieving the Dream is a national initiative to help more community college students succeed, particularly low income students and students of color. There are more than one-hundred Achieving the Dream community colleges across the country.

Being an Achieving the Dream College augments our existing commitments to develop a retention program to serve diverse and underserved student populations, to foster high levels of student achievement through assessment of learning outcomes and to develop collaborative partnerships that respond to the needs of the community with new resources, a network of experts and tested methodologies.

We are privileged to have two esteemed experts serving as our coaches in this initiative:

• Charlene R. Nunley, President, Montgomery College, Maryland and
• Rhonda Glover, Assistant VP for Institutional Research and Learning Assessment, Valencia Community College, Florida.
