PITTSBURGH—CCAC’s Physical Therapy Assistant Program has received continuing accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education through 2014.
The Physical Therapy Assistant Program, located at CCAC’s Boyce campus since its inception in 1990, is one of more than 230 programs in the country and was the first of its kind in western Pennsylvania.
The Physical Therapy Assistant Program has over 600 graduates.
Reaccredidation requires the submission of an annual accreditation report. According to CCAC internal statistics, a three-year average shows 88% of graduates pass the PTA registration examination and 100% of those responding to graduate surveys are employed.
The Community College of Allegheny County is the largest community college in Pennsylvania. The college serves nearly 30,000 credit students through 170 degree and certificate programs and offers thousands of noncredit lifelong learning and workforce development courses to more than 35,000 students annually.
