As the vice president for Human Resources, Paul Schwarzmiller directs the development, implementation, administration and coordination of efforts in the areas of faculty and staff recruitment, employee relations, compensation, benefits and diversity. He also counsels and supports management teams on employment law and other Human Resources issues.
Schwarzmiller joined CCAC in 2004 as a generalist in Human Resources and was named to his current position in June 2011. Before CCAC he worked in private industry. He has been a trustee on the Allegheny County Schools Health Insurance Consortium board since 2008 and is a member of the Society of Human Resource Management and the College and University Personnel Association. He is also a member of the first cohort of CCAC’s Leadership Development Institute.
Schwarzmiller holds a master’s degree in business administration from Robert Morris University and a bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
