02/21/2011 -- CCAC–North Campus student places in bowling championship

PITTSBURGH—The Community College of Allegheny County (CCAC)–North Campus bowling team member Jared Garasich earned a fifth place finish in Men’s Singles at the Western Pennsylvania Collegiate Conference Bowling Championship on February 11. Garasich had a total score of 634 out of three games. He also placed fourth in Men’s All Events with a nine-game total of 1911, with an average score of 212 per game. 

Garasich is an educational paraprofessional major at CCAC. He is an honors student, Vice President of the Student Government Association and a member of Phi Theta Kappa Chapter Alpha Lambda Nu and the World Cultures Club.

He will also be competing at the Pennsylvania Collegiate Athletic Association State Championship in Phillipsburg, PA February 19–20 as well as the National Junior Collegiate Athletic Association Championship in Buffalo, NY March 3–5, 2011.
