The ITS Department can support faculty in creating online video content for their courses using the Camtasia software on campus. We have set up a room at each of the four campuses where faculty can use the computer to record, edit and produce videos using Camtasia.
|Allegheny Campus, room L510||Boyce Campus, room N495|
|North Campus, room 2028||South Campus, room B447|
Send an email to the ServiceDesk to reserve time in the ITS recording room. The ITS staff will work with you to reserve the room at a date and time convenient for you.
Training, Consultation, and Assistance
The ITS Technician/ User Support Analyst will meet with you to demonstrate recording and production. The Technician will work with you for the first couple times you wish to record and/or produce, to make sure you are comfortable with the software and production process. You should become familiar with where the files are stored on the computer, and back them up to a flash drive.
Assistance during evening and weekend hours will be limited.
If you have never used this software, we recommend you visit the following site to view the vendor’s instructional videos for how to use Camtasia. They will be helpful for you to prepare for using the software. Resources for learning Camtasia are presented in the Moodle course Technology & Learning.
Please bring a flash drive (minimum 8 gig) with you to back up your video recording and production files.
