10/27/2011 -- CCAC runner takes state women’s 5k honors

Baldwin, JanellePITTSBURGH— Janelle Baldwin of Carnegie, a runner with the Community College of Allegheny County (CCAC) North Campus Cross Country Team, finished in first place at the Women’s 5k at the Pennsylvania Collegiate Athletic Association State Championship on October 22 at Penn State Fayette Campus. Her winning time was 21:33.

She also took first place in the Women’s 5k at the Western Pennsylvania Collegiate Championship held at Westmoreland County Community College October 15. She will compete at the National Junior Collegiate Athletic Association (NJCAA) Region 20 Championship on October 29 in Hagerstown, MD, with the hopes of qualifying for the NJCAA Cross Country National Championship on November 5 in Massachusetts.

Baldwin is a first-year team member and a Liberal Arts major at CCAC–West Hills Center in Oakdale.
