The High School to Career Scholarship was established in 2009 by a generous donation from an anonymous foundation. The foundation advocates for high school students to pursue higher education opportunities that will lead to gainful employment.
The selection of scholarship recipients is made by the Scholarship Review Committee. Awards may be used for tuition, books and fees for a maximum of three years or a maximum award of $7,000. This scholarship is intended to provide funding to allow recent graduates from Penn Hills, Plum, Gateway, Woodland Hills, Highlands, Riverview, Wilkinsburg or East Allegheny High Schools or Imani or Cheswick Christian Academies to pursue a two-year Associate of Science or Associate of Applied Science and then enter the workforce in their chosen field. Culturally and ethnically diverse students are encouraged to apply.
Awards will be used for tuition, fees and all other education related expenses.
