PITTSBURGH—The Community College of Allegheny County (CCAC) Board of Trustees today approved awarding an honorary Associate of Arts in Humane Letters to Charlene Petrelli, who will serve as the college’s 2012 commencement speaker.

Ms. Petrelli, vice president and chief human resources officer for EQT Corporation and president of the EQT Foundation, is a 1985 alumna of CCAC. She serves on the Board of Directors of the CCAC Educational Foundation and is a member of the steering committee for Imagine & Achieve, the college’s $40 million comprehensive campaign. She is also active in the community, particularly in programs that encourage young women to follow in her footsteps to success in business leadership.

“Ms. Petrelli is a shining example of the potential of a CCAC education,” said CCAC President Alex Johnson. “Her achievements and continued involvement with the college should be an inspiration to our graduates.”

CCAC’s 2012 commencement ceremonies will be hosted May 22 at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center.
