PITTSBURGH—The Community College of Allegheny County (CCAC) North Campus Intercollegiate Ice Hockey team will present a $1,000 check to representatives from The Mario Lemieux Foundation Friday,
March 23, at 11:00 a.m. at the foundation’s headquarters located at 816 Fifth Avenue, Sixth Floor, Downtown. CCAC–North Campus Athletic Director Chuck Bell and a member of the team, CCAC student Tim Murphy, will make the presentation.
The money raised was a result of fundraising the team conducted during the course of its season by selling raffle tickets to a March 5, 2012 Pittsburgh Penguins game. In addition to its annual ice hockey charity game, the CCAC–North Campus Intercollegiate Ice Hockey team also helps support The Mario Lemieux Foundation through funds raised from charity raffles of signed Penguins merchandise.
