PITTSBURGH—The Community College of Allegheny County (CCAC) South Campus Theatre program presents Shakespeare’s “Measure for Measure” at 8:00 p.m. daily from August 14 to 17 with a matinee performance scheduled at noon Thursday, August 16.
The cast includes members of the winning amateur theatre company as well as two other companies who participated in “Bard Wars,” CCAC’s first-ever Shakespeare Creative Competition Festival held in June at the CCAC–South Campus Theatre.
One of Shakespeare’s darker comedies, “Measure for Measure” centers on the actions and consequences of a ruthless judge, Angelo, and those who would hold him accountable. The action takes place in early 17th-century Vienna.
Tickets to “Measure for Measure” may be purchased for $5 at the door. The CCAC–South Campus Theatre is located at 1750 Clairton Road (Route 885), West Mifflin, PA 15122.
