This program, Modern Office System Technology (MOST), provides work experience and training opportunities to Allegheny County residents age 55 and older who meet income guidelines. Individuals enrolled in the program receive twenty hours of training/work experience in nonprofit or government agencies and are paid minimum wage. In addition to work experience and training, enrollees receive assistance in securing full and part-time employment in the private sector. The program provides training in clerical and office technologies skills required to obtain employment as office clerks, receptionists, data entry operators, secretaries, customer service representatives and medical office secretaries. The program does not have specific start dates with much of the program being individualized to meet students’ needs.
