The Veterans in Energy Training Project is a new initiative with a two-fold purpose:
The project is based on CCAC's Marcellus Shale Energy Training Strategy, which identifies CCAC certificate and degree programs, linking them to sustainable, high-skill, high priority occupations. These programs are considered primary or directly related to the industry. Another set of secondary programs that support the industry are also included.
Environmental Waste Specialist/Environmental Science Technician
General Office Staff
Heavy Operating Engineers
Equipment/Building Maintenance (non-engine)
Veterans enrolled in these programs can begin the process of preparing for and seeking employment in the Marcellus Shale industry by contacting Veterans Student Support Specialist, Dana Jarvis.
Contact Dana Jarvis, Veterans Student Support Specialist to assess and translate military skills and experience into utilizing traditional and social media methods to make an impact in the job market.
