PITTSBURGH—The Community College of Allegheny County (CCAC) is partnering with the Greater Pittsburgh Automotive Dealers Association to present a “Day at the Pittsburgh Auto Show” February 15 at the 2013 Pittsburgh International Auto Show at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center. The event is designed to showcase CCAC’s Automotive Technology program and career opportunities in the industry.
Organized by Karl K. Watson Jr., automotive instructor, CCAC–West Hills Center; John Putizier, chief executive officer, Greater Pittsburgh Automotive Dealers Association; and Jill Costic, director, Pittsburgh Auto Show, the event will kick off with a 9:00 a.m. welcome from Mr. Putizier. Following his remarks, CCAC instructors will discuss the many innovations and opportunities taking place within the industry. Thereafter, approximately 400 career and technical students from throughout Allegheny and the surrounding counties will then take part in a knowledge-based competition.
