Trustee Emeritus &
Former Chair–CCAC Board of Trustees
Affectionately referred to as “Mr. CCAC,” Robert “Bob” M. Mill has been one of the college’s most ardent supporters. From his early days as a member of the college’s first class to his ongoing efforts to spearhead the newly created CCAC Labor Management Institute, Mill has been integral to the growth and vitality of CCAC in the region and in our community.
Mill’s achievements and accomplishments during his years of service at CCAC are many. A CCAC alumnus, he served as president of the CCAC Student Government in 1966. He was a member of the Board of Trustees for 25 years from 1972 until 1997, serving as chair from 1981 to 1987. He was a founding member of the CCAC Educational Foundation Board of Directors and served from 1979 until 2001, becoming an emeritus member in 2003. He also founded both the CCAC Alumni Association and the CCAC Labor-Management Institute, and he is a member of the Steering Committees for both the college’s Imagine & Achieve campaign for CCAC and the Robert M. Mill Lecture Series & Endowed Professorship. Mill received an honorary Associate of Arts in Humane Letters degree from CCAC in 1998, and was awarded the Legends in Leadership Lifetime Legend Award in 1999. He was inducted into the CCAC Hall of Fame in 2001.
