Academic Support & Referrals
Student Success Coaches provide academic support and monitor student progress by participating in Early Intervention and Midterm Reports, and they make referrals as needed to campus services such as Advising, Career and Transfer Counseling, Financial Aid, Job Placement, Student Accounts, Supportive Services and Tutoring. Throughout the year Student Success Coaches may run academic workshops to improve student success, such as How to Get Good Grades, Stress Management, Leadership Development, Study Skills and more.
Each campus has several tutoring options for students and your Student Success Coach can help you find the tutoring option that will work best for you and your schedule. In addition to tutoring, each campus also has a Math Cafe available which is a walk-in math assistance center. Another walk-in resource designed to assist students with reading and writing assignments in any course is our Learning Commons center available at all CCAC campuses.
There are ample opportunities to get involved around campus. Student Success Coaches can help you to learn more about these opportunities, and introduce you to these clubs, programs, student government, the newspaper, and they can also show you how to get discount tickets for attractions around Pittsburgh.
