Clinical Reference Systems
Access: CONNECT to the database.

Database is accessed via EBSCOhost. Scroll down the main page and click on Health Source: Consumer Edition to start your search. CRS is automatically searched as part of every search in Health Source: Consumer Edition.

To search only in Clinical Reference Systems:

  • enter that title as the "SO Journal_name" on your search screen
  • OR enter it in the "Magazine" block under Refine Search (Limit your results)
  • OR select the green "Publications" tab at the top of the screen, enter the title in the "Browse for:" block, and click "Browse." When the title appears in the publication list, click on the blue "Mark Items for Search" tab. On the next screen, check the box appearing in front of "Clinical Reference Systems" and click "Add."

Health Source: Consumer Edition can be searched individually or in combination with other EBSCOhost databases.

Off-campus access available; requires username and password.

Information Type: Citations, abstracts, and full text
Description: EBSCO has added Clinical Reference Systems to its already comprehensive list of medical information. CRS offers thousands of essays, many with images, covering eight major health related subjects including: adult health, behavioral health, cardiology, drug and medication information, pediatric health, senior health, women's health and sports medicine. In addition, Spanish records have been added to the CRS database.
