Description: The Oxford English Dictionary is the definitive historical dictionary of the English language. This mammoth dictionary includes English language words from the earliest records of written language to the present day. Entries include over 2 million dated quotations from English language history, literature and records, and facts concerning word forms, changes and etymology. The electronic database represents an integration of both the original 12-volume set from 1933 and the revised Second Edition, which was published in 1989.
