- Free Application for Federal Student Aid
- The Department of Education maintains this web site, which provides access to free applications for federal student aid. The student must apply for a pin (a personal identification password) in order to use the website, but unlike other websites for federal student aid, the student does not have to pay for its use.
- Federal School Code Search
- This is a searchable list of all the codes for schools for which students may apply for federal aid. Each school has a unique code which must be included on the application in order for it to be accepted.

Information that may be required may include your name, address, intended field of study, hobbies, and other personal information. Some of the larger scholarships also have their own websites. Use Internet search engines to help you locate them.

- A service of Sallie Mae a government created company which provides loans to students. Wired Scholar is a college-planning site which concentrates on financing an education. Also offers information on admissions, applications and provides test preparation advice.
- College Board Fund Finder
- The College Board's database includes scholarships and other types of financial aid programs from 2,000 sources. Updated annually.
- Financial Aid Resources
- The librarians at the Job and Career Education Center have designed a web page that provides links to a wide variety of information about resources for financial aid, including local and national offerings, as well as information on both scholarships and loans that are available. Also included is a list of resources at their library.
- FinAid: The Financial Aid Information Page
- An award winning site for all kinds of information about financial aid. Follow the "Scholarships" link to FastWeb, a scholarship search service of 400,000 awards. Use the "Calculators" section to determine how much financial aid you need. Title IV codes for FAFSA forms (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) are available under "Financial Aid Applications."

- The web version of the Scholarship Resource Networks (SRN) database. Focuses on private-sector, non-need-based aid, and includes information about awards from more than 8,000 organizations.
- Student Financial Assistance Programs
- The U.S. Department of Education's Student Financial Assistance Programs website. Includes the current edition of The Student Guide, a comprehensive resource for information about financial aid. Also features general information about federal programs and how to apply for aid. Includes an online FAFSA application form and Title IV codes.
