- Election Statistics
- Election statistics for all federal elections, 1920 - present. Most past years are in PDF format. Includes tallies for each candidate by district or state, and totals for Presidential elections by state and for the electoral college. Does not include data on voter turnout.

- This standard reference work contains statistics on hundreds of different social, political, economic topics. Great starting point for locating statistics. Tables for these years are listed in parallel columns. All files are PDF format only. [NOTE: If tables do not print or are covered with black circles, check the "Print as image" option in the Adobe Acrobat Reader print window.] Archives are also available at the site.

- U.S. Census Bureau
- Maintains a variety of statistical resources about people, poverty, housing, business, geography, and more. Specific resources and databases include:
- United States Historical Census Browser
- The Inter-University Consortium for Political and Social Research provides U.S. census data for 1790 through 1960. "Historical Background" gives an overview of data collection and reporting. To search, select a census year and a variable (race, age, sex, etc.). Display data for state, county, or both. The data can be browsed but not downloaded.
