- Founded in 1984, AIDS Action is a national organization that explores all aspects of the HIV epidemic by disseminating information and acting as advocates for those afflicted with HIV/AIDS. Access to public policies, a newsroom, publications and related links is provided at their web site.

- A division of the Department of Health & Human Services, AIDSinfo is a clearinghouse for current information on clinical trials and experimental treatments. Acess to information about drugs, vaccines, brochures and fact sheets is available at their web site.
- AIDS.ORG
- Begun in 1993, AIDS.ORG's goal is to prevent the spread of HIV and to improve the lives of AIDS/HIV suffers. Its web site offers access to a data network that deals with treatment information, and a AIDS/HIV glossary and a resource database.
- American Foundation for AIDS Research
- As the nation's leading nonprofit organization, amfar is dedicated to supporting AIDS research, treatment and prevention. Their "amfar global link", located in the left hand side frame, provides detailed information about drugs used in the treatment of AIDS/HIV.
- Center for AIDS Prevention Studies
- CAPS was established in 1986 to find ways to prevent the spread of HIV infection and its consequences, to train new scientists in AIDS research, to stimulate collaboration among all who deal with AIDS and HIV, and to address ethical issues in HIV research and prevention.

- Pittsburgh AIDS Task Force
- Founded in 1985, the PATF is dedicated to preventing the spread of AIDS and empowering the lives of those that have contracted the disease through education programs and services.
- Southwestern Pennsylvania AIDS Planning Coalition
- SWPAPC serves as a regional network of organizations and individuals whose goal is to support the prevention of HIV and AIDS, and the care services that treat the disease. The input of those affected by AIDS/HIV is encouraged and valued by the coalition.
- UNAIDS
