- Biozone
- There are over 500 links covering biology, biotechnology, microbiology, genetics, evolution, plant biology, space biology, conservation, etc. on this site. There is a link to monthly updates in each category from the main page.
- Botany
- This site brings together a wide range of botanical resources available on the web by the National Biological Information Infrastructure (NBII).
- BUBL LINK/ 5.5 Life Sciences
- The most extensive catalog of biology-related Internet sites with descriptions of each resource. Access is provided alphabetically, by Dewey number, by country and resource type. Frequent updates.
- Gray's Anatomy of the Human Body
- Features complete, searchable text; 1,247 engravings, many in color, from the classic 1918 publication; and a subject index with 13,000 entries.
- Hot Biology Web Sites
- This is an Association for Biology Laboratory Education site, containing links to biology education sites and many comprehensive biology sites. There are links to biology animations, also.
- Human Genome
- An NIH guide to online information resources on the human genome.
- Integrated Taxonomic Information System
- This is a site containing authoritative taxonomic information on plants, animals, fungi and microbes of North America and the world. It is searchable by common name, scientific name, or TSN (Taxonomic Serial Number).
- Kimball's Biology Pages
- This is an easy to navigate site which provides an alphabetic approach to an online manual designed for introductory biology students. Brief definitions and essays cover all areas of the discipline, but the site is particularly strong in cellular and molecular biology.
- On-Line Biology Book
- This site is hosted by Estrella Mountain Community College in Arizona, and offers text items from the modified lecture outlines of Michael Farabee, PhD., developed over many years of teaching college-level introductory Biology. Use of the text items for educational purposes is encouraged; however, image use requires permission for use from the company or source.
