This certificate program prepares the graduate to enter the workforce as a pharmacy technician. Employment can be in acute care, ambulatory care or long-term care settings, research facilities, mail-order pharmacies and home infusion companies. Pharmacy technicians assist registered pharmacists in the compounding and distribution of medications, prepare intravenous admixtures and provide other pharmaceutical care services. Upon successful completion of the program, the graduate will:
Admission to the program is limited by the availability of clinical sites. A separate application for program admission is required.A student must maintain a 2.0 college-level cumulative GPA to remain in the program.
