• Admissions and Enrollment

    The following information applies to credit students. Non-credit students will find registration information in Community Education and Professional Development.

    As an open-admissions institution, CCAC does not require college entrance examinations. To enroll as a full-time student, applicants must have a high school diploma or Pennsylvania GED certificate or must be at least 18 years of age with experience reasonably equivalent to a GED.

    Choose from a variety of courses. Select courses that can be used toward your major or count as electives in your program of study.
    With their small class size and individualized attention, intersession courses are a great option for any student looking to earn additional credits, especially: allied health or nursing students, student athletes and active military or Veteran students.

    Make sure you get the classes you want. Courses fill quickly and offerings are limited. All offices are open to serve you at the times listed below.

    For enrollment service hours at the college centers, call the center where you plan to complete the registration process. Please refer to the telephone numbers below. Online registration through CCAC Central e-Services is available until the start of the semester. You can also drop classes online (before the start date listed on your schedule) by visiting ccaccentral.ccac.edu.

  • Appointment Central

    Appointment Central is the college's online portal allowing CCAC students to sign up for a variety of services such as academic advising appointments and more. No matter what campus or center you will visit, you can book your registration online. Benefits include reduced time waiting in line, 24/7 access and increased ease of use.
  • Specialty Programs and Limited Enrollment

    Admission to the College does not constitute admission to certain programs. Enrollment in these programs is limited by the availability of additional factors. If you indicate a preference for one of these limited admission programs, you will be sent complete information on the process you must follow to apply.

    International Students

    In order to be accepted to the Community College of Allegheny County and issued an I-20, international students must complete and submit the international students application packet. As a reminder, each of the forms can be found on the International Student Forms page. Please contact the Office of International Students for the international application deadlines. An I-20 (application for student visa) will be issued to the student once all documents have been processed. International students must also provide proof of English proficiency.
