CCAC South Campus

South CampusSet among 212 rolling acres in West Mifflin, CCAC's South Campus serves Allegheny County's southern communities and the Mon Valley region. The campus is located off PA Route 885 not far from Jefferson Hospital and is easily accessed by both PA Route 51 and PA Turnpike 43 as well as by public transportation.

The South Campus moved to its current six-story, comprehensive educational facility in 1973. Its buildings, built over a number of years, house lecture halls, traditional classrooms, a learning assistance center, computer labs, and state-of-the art allied health and nursing laboratories. In addition, the campus has a library that is open to the public, a theatre, a radio station, a gymnasium, and a fully-equipped fitness center. The grounds surrounding the campus are picturesque and provide walkways and trails for students and community members to enjoy the outdoors. Community education courses are also offered on the nature trail and inside using classroom and gym space. All of the facilities can be accessed from any one of the buildings by using the indoor walkways.

Opportunities for a Changing Community

CCAC South Campus President Dr. Charlene Newkirk and other Jefferson community and business leaders share their thoughts on the unique challenges in their area and how best to address them with non-profit initiatives such as the CCAC South Campus Food Pantry and other community-focused action projects.
