CCAC to host Virtual Skilled Trades & Services Fair on November 23
PITTSBURGH—Students and community members are invited to a free event to find out
how they can receive training toward high-paying and highly rewarding careers at the
Community College of Allegheny County. The college will host a Virtual Skilled Trades
& Services Fair where attendees can explore career options with industry experts on
Tuesday, Nov. 23, from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. The event will kick off with opening
remarks by CCAC Northwest Region President Evon Walters and an overview of West Hills
Center’s Skilled Trades programs by Director of Enrollment Rhena McCaskill.
The fair will include informative presentations on the following CCAC programs: Automotive Technology, HVAC, Mechatronics (Advanced Manufacturing), CDL (Commercial Driver’s License), Welding and the Barber School. Attendees will also experience presentations by several of CCAC’s union and apprenticeship partners.
CCAC offers more than 25 degree and certificate programs in the skilled trades, all of which can be completed in two years or less at CCAC’s state-of-the-art facilities. These programs offer students the opportunity to earn certificates in a short period of time so that they are able to begin working in the field while they continue at CCAC to fulfill the requirements for the degree programs.
Upon registration, attendees will receive the agenda and a link to the Zoom session. Register at this link, or go to ccac.edu/events/trades-and-services-fair.php.
