CCAC Wild Cats Women's Bowling Team named WPCC Women's Bowling Champions

 
 

PITTSBURGH—The Community College of Allegheny County Wild Cats Women’s Bowling Team won the Western Pennsylvania Collegiate Conference (WPCC) 2020 Championship tournament, which CCAC hosted at Coral Lanes in West Mifflin. Team members are CCAC students Paige Adams, Kali Adams, Sofia Sedlak and Anna Swindle.

In addition to finishing in first place, the women took home seven other titles from the tournament: Paige Adams and Swindle were named WPCC Women’s Doubles Champions; Swindle was named Women’s Singles Champion and Women’s All Events Runner-up; Paige Adams was named Women’s Singles Runner-up and Women’s All Events Champion; and Kali Adams placed third for Singles and for All Events.

On the men’s side, CCAC students Jason Fitterer and Justin Schmitt were named WPCC Men’s Doubles Champions. Schmitt was also named Men’s Singles Champion and Men’s All Events Champion.

Paige Adams, Swindle and Schmitt went on to compete and proudly represent CCAC at the National Junior College Athletic Association tournament in Cheektowaga, NY. The 2020 season averages of the highest scorers, Schmitt and Adams, were 202.01 and 185.2 points per game, respectively.
