CCAC transitions Project Management Boot Camp to online program, offers first summer session
PITTSBURGH—The Community College of Allegheny County has transitioned its popular
Project Management Boot Camp to a completely online program. The college is also offering
its first-ever summer session in the program, which will prepare participants for
the Project Management Professional (PMP)® certification exam. The 12-week cohort,
at a maximum of 15 students, will meet via Zoom on Saturdays from May 30 to August
This is the 10th year that CCAC has conducted Project Management Boot Camp, which is facilitated by a practicing, certified project manager with multiple certifications. The learning community is designed for professionals who aspire to become project managers, as well as for individuals working in a project management or a related role who are seeking career advancement. Holding the widely recognized PMP® certification can lead to significant increases in compensation.
The course will use the latest edition of the Project Management Book of Knowledge® certification guide to learn and review project management methodology and theory. Participants will meet the 35 hours of formal project management education requirement and will develop and submit their application to the Project Management Institute® for the PMP® certification exam.
