Professor Justin Starr recently appeared on the popular WESA radio show and podcast "The Confluence" to talk about an exciting opportunity for CCAC students. The national Student Spaceflight Experiments Program has selected CCAC as one of only three community colleges in the nation to design an experiment to be conducted aboard the International Space Station. The college's participation is coordinated by Dr. Starr, CCAC Endowed Professor of Advanced Technologies. As Dr. Starr explained to host Kevin Gavin, teams of CCAC students are working on a variety of experiment designs - one of which will be launched into space in 2023. The two discussed everything from the meaning of "microgravity" to how even non-STEM students can contribute to the world of space research.
