STEM Science Math and Technologies at CCAC

Often referred to as the jobs of the future, STEM careers are in strong demand as the need for
workers in high-paying STEM fields continues to grow, resulting in greater economic opportunity
for years to come. In fact, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics’ Career Outlook, overall
STEM employment is expected to grow about 13 percent between 2012 and 2022—faster than
the 11 percent rate of growth projected for all occupations over the decade.
Information Technology Programs
This program equips students with a broad understanding of computer information systems,
technology support, software development or multimedia. Graduates may then pursue
a bachelor’s degree at a four-year institution in Information Systems or Information
Technology.
Graduates may find employment in the growing field of computer and information technology.
Growth in cloud computing, cybersecurity and mobile networks will increase demand
for these workers. Graduates have the opportunity to enter careers with strong earning
potential.
