Nursing at CCAC Campuses
This campus is conveniently located on Pittsburgh's North Shore. It is easily accessible by public transportation and is close to many of the city attractions such as Heinz Field, PNC Park, the Aviary and the Andy Warhol Museum. Allegheny Campus accepts nursing admissions in the fall and spring semesters.
Nursing students at Allegheny Campus are afforded the opportunity to gain experience at nationally renowned medical institutions and hospitals.
Examples include: Allegheny General Hospital, Kane Regional Centers, Children's Hospital, UPMC Presbyterian Montefiore, West Penn Hospital, UPMC Mercy Hospital, and Western Psychiatric Institute & Clinic. In addition, a variety of community agencies and long term care facilities are used.
This campus is located in suburban Monroeville from the Parkway East, the Pennsylvania Turnpike, and Routes 22E. PAT transit also serves the school.
Boyce offers day and evening courses. All of the nursing courses at the Boyce Campus are Web-enhanced. Boyce Campus accepts nursing admissions in the fall and spring semesters.
Example clinical sites include: Allegheny Valley Hospital, UPMC Magee Women's Hospital, Forbes Hospital, UPMC Shadyside Hospital, UPMC St. Margaret's, Excela Westmoreland, LifeCare Hospitals, and Veteran's Administration Hospital.
Located in the North Hills on Rt. 19 near Camp Horne Rd. in an all-inclusive campus building. North offers day and web-enhanced courses and accepts nursing admissions in the fall semester only.
Example of clinical sites for clinical experience include: UPMC Passavant & Passavant Cranberry, UPMC Mercy, Children's Hospital, and UPMC Magee Hospital.
Located in West Mifflin, near Century III Mall on Rt. 885, South is accessible by PAT public transportation also. South offers day and evening courses and accepts nursing admission in the fall semester only. Some courses are web-enhanced.
Examples of clinical sites include: Jefferson Regional Medical Center,UPMC McKeesport, UPMC Mercy, St. Clair Hospital, Mon Valley Hospital, Children's Hospital, and Children's Institute.
CCAC Nursing Program at the California University of Pennsylvania Campus
Conveniently located off Route 43 in California, Pa. on a rural campus site. The program is a day program and accepts nursing admissions in the spring semester only (January). Students who wish to be considered for the CCAC @ CALU U Nursing Program must apply to and be accepted by California University of PA for the semester in which they are applying. Examples of clinical site include: Uniontown, Westmoreland, MonValley, Jefferson Regional Medical Center, and Mercy Hospital as well as others.
