Continuing Education for Special Needs Adults

Thousands of persons with special needs, their caregivers and their families participate in this program, where low instructor to student ratios are paramount. Because of the attention each individual receives, this program offers respite to daily caregivers. Classes can be found in neighborhood churches, schools, bowling allies, hotel ballrooms and CCAC campuses and centers. The goal of each course is to provide educational and social classes to enhance skills of persons with a wide range of disabilities.

Examples of courses include:

  • Day programs
  • Bowling to develop math and motor skills
  • Watch your weight/nutrition programs
  • Leisure art classes
  • Academic classes
  • Computers
  • College for life skills
  • Special events
