Community College of Allegheny County offers several financial aid option to help ease the cost of tuition and fees. Financial Aid also seeks to help you acquire aid as simply as possible. CCAC administers various federal and state financial aid funds. Grants which do not require repayment, as well as loans and student employment programs, are available through the Office of Financial Aid. Financial Aid may only be used for educational purposes and to pay costs associated with attending CCAC.

If you are expecting to receive financial aid, you can review your pending financial aid at MyCCAC. Navigate to CCAC Central e-Services and select "Students". Then click on Financial Aid Self Service.

It is your responsibility to compare your financial aid award with your tuition and fee costs and if the financial aid is less than the total cost of tuition and fees the balance is due by the tuition due date.

If you are applying for a student loan you must also complete a Direct Loan Master Promissory Note and Student Loan Entrance Counseling in order for your loan to be processed.

Federal Direct Student Loan Program

Direct Federal Stafford Subsidized and Unsubsidized Loans are based on financial need as well as annual and aggregate limits. Find out more about these two federal loans and options for parental loans at the link below.

Eligibility for Debt Relief

What Is Federal Student Loan Debt Relief?

It’s a program that provides eligible borrowers with full or partial discharge of loans up to $20,000 to Federal Pell Grant recipients and up to $10,000 to non-Pell Grant recipients.

Who Qualifies?

  • Individuals who made less than $125,000 in 2021 or 2020
  • Families that made less than $250,000 in 2021 or 2020

If you filed federal taxes, your income requirements are based on your adjusted gross income (AGI), which tends to be lower than your total income. Your AGI can be found on line 11 of the IRS Form 1040.

How It Works

Apply today (but no later than Dec. 31, 2023). We’ll determine your eligibility and will contact you if we need more information. Your loan servicer will notify you when your relief has been processed.
