About Scholarships & Student Funding


CCAC offers a variety of scholarships and funding to assist students in paying their tuition and purchasing the necessary books and student supplies. Many of these awards are awarded based a combination of merit and need and are often restricted to students who meet certain criteria. There are often additional scholarships available specific to certain areas of study or career pathways. Please email [email protected] for an updated list of applicable scholarships.

CCAC Educational Foundation Scholarships

In the last academic year, the CCAC Educational Foundation awarded almost $300,000 in scholarships funds to 360 students. These scholarships span a wide range of majors, academic disciplines and requirements. Information and application information on these scholarships for the Fall 2022 and Spring 2023 semesters can be found on the online scholarship application portal.

Applications for fall 2023 scholarships will be accepted via the AwardSpring online portal beginning April 1, 2023 until May 1, 2023.

Applications for spring 2023 scholarships will be accepted via the AwardSpring online portal beginning October 1, 2022 until October 31, 2022.

When applying be prepared with all of the application requirements.

  • An active email address that you regularly check;
  • A valid CCAC Student ID number;
  • Your current CCAC GPA;
  • The number of credits you have completed at CCAC;
  • Your primary CCAC campus;
  • Your major/degree program;
  • The degree you are seeking (AA, AS, AAS, CERT, DIPL);
  • A completed essay from the provided prompts
  • Please talk about yourself and why you are attending CCAC. Please do not identify your name, age, race or ethnicity in your essay.
  • How have you been financing your education thus far? Please list all financial aid: grants, outside scholarships (i.e. Pittsburgh Promise, Job Corps, etc), CCAC Scholarships, federal work-study positions, jobs or other aid you have received while attending CCAC.
  • From a financial standpoint, what impact would a scholarship have on your education? How would you use a scholarship from the CCAC Educational Foundation?
  • Where do you see yourself 10 years from now? What are your future goals and what is your plan for achieving them?

 

Allegheny County Dr. Charles J. Martoni Endowed Scholarship

The CCAC Educational Foundation is pleased to announce the Allegheny County Dr. Charles J. Martoni Endowed Scholarship, supported by a $10 million allocation from Allegheny County. The scholarship will further CCAC's mission of providing affordable access to high-quality career and transfer education. This scholarship is available to students beginning in the fall 2022 semester and awardees must be Allegheny County residents living in the county and experiencing financial need.

 

Who is Eligible

Students who meet the qualifications for this scholarship have been informed through a letter.  Questions regarding eligibility can be directed to CCAC Financial Aid at 412.237.CCAC (press 2) or [email protected]. 

High School to Career Scholarship

This scholarship provides up to $10,000/student over 5 semesters in scholarship funding to allow recent graduates from any high school in Allegheny County that is Pittsburgh Promise ineligible to pursue a two-year Associate of Science or Associate of Applied Science and then enter the workforce in their chosen field. Eligible students can apply by completing the application and submitting the required documents to the CCAC Educational Foundation by the application deadline of 4:30 pm on Monday, June 26, 2023.

 

Eligibility:

  • Be a graduate of any high school in Allegheny County that is Pittsburgh Promise ineligible with a minimum GPA of 2.75;
  • Be a 2020 or later high school graduate and enroll at CCAC within three years of graduation;
  • Have applied and/or registered for the fall 2023 semester at CCAC;
  • Be working toward an Associate of Science or Associate of Applied Science degree in one of the following programs: Applied Service and Trade Technologies; Electrical Construction Technology; Business Careers in Accounting; Computer and Information Technology; Engineering & Science Technologies; or Health Careers;
  • Take a minimum of 12 credits per semester;
  • Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75 once enrolled at CCAC;
  • Complete a FAFSA form
