Biography
Kevin is a dynamic educator and leader in massage therapy whose innovative teaching methods and compassionate approach have inspired countless students since he joined the Community College of Allegheny County in 2013. As Professor and the Massage Therapist Program Coordinator, he has overseen a complete restructuring of both the associate degree and certificate curricula, launched an on-campus student clinic, and spearheaded ongoing curriculum revisions in collaboration with faculty and advisory committees. Kevin and his students regularly volunteer their time to serve various organizations, groups and individuals in the community, providing a variety of massage therapy services while supporting great initiatives. His graduate studies in rehabilitation sciences, along with credentials in strength training and conditioning, uniquely position him to prepare future massage professionals with rigorous, hands-on training, a deeper understanding of human movement, and a service-oriented mindset. Beyond the classroom, Kevin contributes to curriculum development at the college, state, and national levels, presents regularly at professional conferences, and chairs CCAC’s Curriculum Subcommittee of College Council while also serving as Boyce Campus Assessment Coordinator.
In addition to his academic roles, Kevin's experience and practice has focused on pain relief, life coaching, and continuing education for licensed therapists. His prior experience in health screening, wellness coaching, and sports performance further informs his holistic approach to teaching and client care. For more than two decades, Kevin’s dedication to massage therapy, exercise science, and personal growth has enriched the lives of students, clients, and the broader community—solidifying CCAC’s reputation as a premier institution for transformative healing education.

For four years in a row, my students and I represented CCAC by providing over eight hours of massage to hundreds of runners at the Pittsburgh Marathon, for which we won "Best Massage School." Because of this and countless other outreach services the students of the Massage Therapist program have participated in, my most memorable moments are working with the students in the community, volunteering at local businesses and events doing all types of massage. It's amazing to watch the students in action, caring for all the people of the community with a profound level of authenticity and professionalism. In addition, I think it's pretty cool to be chairing the Curriculum subcommittee of College Council and being part of the Assessment Team at CCAC. I can remember my first time attending a Curriculum subcommittee meeting, very nervously, to bring the Massage Therapy curriculum through governance with Dean Allison. To now be working with and involved on committees currently and previously led by people I look up to at the college, including the Allied Health faculty, Caroline Evans, Dr. Kalina White, Rita Gallegos and Dr. Stephen Wells, is quite humbling.
Simply put, massage therapy changes lives. Especially in today's world, touch is needed more than ever by each and every person. I most enjoy watching my students' personal progress on their life's journey from the day they enter the first class through graduation and beyond, when they become ambassadors of massage therapy. Nothing makes me happier than seeing my students break down limiting beliefs about themselves and go on to achieve massive success in a way that is fulfilling to them and meaningful to others.
Originally from the Philadelphia area, I am a huge '90s R&B fan. I used to sing in an acapella R&B group, and still love to sing daily in addition to tinkering with music production.
