Biography

Shadia Smith is a dedicated nursing professional with over seven years of acute care experience. Her clinical background spans multiple high-acuity emergency departments, including Level I and II trauma centers, where she has demonstrated leadership as a preceptor and honed expertise in evidence-based, patient-centered care. Ms. Smith's academic interests center on the development of communication, collaboration, and delegation skills in novice nurses—a focus she explored in her graduate capstone project. A recipient of the Daisy Award for Extraordinary Nurses and a former vice president of the Multicultural Student Nurses Association at her undergraduate program, she brings a strong commitment to mentorship, cultural competence, and excellence in nursing education.
